Former royal water palace = stepping-stone ponds, koi everywhere, fountains and leafy gardens with Mount Agung peeking in the distance. Come early (it opens at dawn-ish), do the classic stone-path photo, then decide if you want a quick swim in the spring pools or a short boat loop.

What you'll do

- Hours: typically 06:00—19:00 daily (go early for fewer crowds).
- Tickets (2025 foreign visitor guide): adult ~IDR 90,000; child and senior discounts exist.
- Extras (pay on site): bathing pool ~IDR 10k—20k; traditional boat ride ~IDR 20k; optional drone/photo permits cost extra.
- Dress modestly around shrines; no sarong required for the gardens. Swimwear only at the pools.
