Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert is Brussels’ famous covered shopping-arcade complex near the Grand-Place — a glass-roof “stroll zone” built in the 1840s to host shops, cultural spaces and places to walk, officially inaugurated on 20 June 1847. It’s a public arcade: you come to wander under the glass roof, window-shop, grab pastries/chocolate/coffee, and optionally add cinema/theatre experiences (those are ticketed separately).

• Free access to walk through the covered galleries/arcades and browse the public passageways (self-guided).

• Perfect for: first-timers in Brussels, rainy-day walkers, chocolate/pastry hunters, architecture lovers, easy shopping strolls.
• Not ideal if you want a “single museum ticket” style visit (this is a living shopping/culture arcade).

• Walk the arcades under the glass roof, browse boutiques and chocolatiers, stop for a café/pastry, and (optional) branch into Cinéma des Galeries / Théâtre Royal des Galeries for shows/films if you want a night plan.
