Highlights
Entry to the Cloud Forest conservatory at Gardens by the Bay for your booked time/date slot.
About this experience
Cloud Forest is the dramatic indoor “mountain + waterfall” dome at Gardens by the Bay — a cool-moist conservatory built around a tall, plant-covered structure with skywalks, misting sessions and climate-change exhibits. It feels like stepping into a sci-fi rainforest: cooler air, a 30—35 m indoor waterfall and multiple levels of walkways looking out over Marina Bay.
What's included
- Entry to the Cloud Forest conservatory at Gardens by the Bay for your booked time/date slot.
- Access to all main levels of the Cloud Mountain, including lifts up and elevated walkways (Cloud Walk / Treetop Walk) that wind around the structure at different heights.
- Time to explore planted zones with orchids, ferns, carnivorous plants and high-altitude vegetation, plus exhibits explaining mountain/cloud forest ecosystems and climate issues.
- Scheduled misting sessions, when the dome fills with fog and the atmosphere becomes extra dramatic for a few minutes.
- Use of basic indoor facilities such as toilets, benches, viewing decks and small souvenir/photo points.
- NOT included: entry to Flower Dome or other paid attractions at Gardens by the Bay, OCBC Skyway / Supertree Observatory tickets, food and drinks, or transport to and from the gardens.
Who it's for
- Ideal for couples, families and solo travellers who want the most cinematic single indoor experience at Gardens by the Bay.
- Great for people who like greenery, waterfalls, viewpoints and slightly nerdy climate/science exhibits without doing a hardcore hike.
- Suitable for most ages and fitness levels: lifts handle the main vertical movement; you just walk gently along ramps and walkways.
- Less suited if you dislike heights and see-through walkways, or if you have zero interest in plants / sustainability themes.
What you'll do
- Arrive at Gardens by the Bay (usually via Bayfront MRT or taxi), walk to the conservatories area and enter Cloud Forest using your ticket/QR at the gate.
- Step straight into the cool dome and see the indoor mountain and waterfall in front of you; take photos from ground level, then follow signs to the lift.
- Ride the lift up near the top of the Cloud Mountain, then slowly walk down along the Cloud Walk and Treetop Walk — suspended paths with views of the waterfall, plants and Marina Bay skyline through the glass.
- Stop at different levels to check out mini-gardens of orchids, mosses, ferns and carnivorous plants, plus small exhibit corners about mountain ecosystems and climate change.
- Time your visit so you catch at least one misting cycle, when fog jets switch on and the entire mountain looks like it’s wrapped in clouds.
- Finish back at the lower levels, where you can browse a small shop corner, grab photos from the base of the waterfall and then exit towards Flower Dome or Supertree Grove.
Before you go
- Tickets / price (starts from): Cloud Forest is normally sold either alone or in a combo with Flower Dome. As a realistic planning baseline, expect around 25 SGD per adult for Cloud Forest access on its own, and around 32 SGD per adult for a two-dome combo (prices vary by promo/date and child/local discounts).
- Duration: plan about 60—90 minutes inside Cloud Forest for a relaxed circuit with photos, viewpoints and one misting session; more if you like to read every panel.
- Timing: the dome operates daily in standard daytime/early evening hours, with last entry before closing; evenings give a different mood with outside lights, day gives clearer city views.
- Climate & clothing: the conservatory is cool and humid compared with outside Singapore air; light clothes are fine, but if you chill easily you may like a thin layer. Shoes with decent grip help on sometimes slightly damp floors.
- Safety & behaviour: don’t run on walkways, lean dangerously over railings or block narrow sections for long photo shoots; follow staff instructions during misting sessions and keep to signed visitor paths.
Good to know
- Location: Cloud Forest sits in the main conservatories cluster at Gardens by the Bay, right behind Marina Bay Sands; it’s easy to pair with Flower Dome, Supertree Grove and the Garden Rhapsody light show on the same visit.
- Best timing: late afternoon into early evening is popular — you get decent light inside the dome, slightly cooler temperatures outside and can roll straight on to Supertrees after.
- Photos: the best shots usually come from the Cloud Walk looking back at the waterfall, and from the base of the falls looking up; misting gives moody, cinematic photos but can fog up lenses briefly.
- Accessibility: lifts and ramps make most of Cloud Forest accessible for visitors with limited mobility; some short side paths may be steeper, but the main loop is manageable.
- Food & extras: there are cafés and dining options elsewhere in the gardens; combine Cloud Forest with a meal at Satay by the Bay or a Marina Bay area restaurant if you’re planning a longer outing.
Why this is worth it
Budget around 25 SGD per adult and 60—90 minutes for Cloud Forest — the cooled, indoor “mountain and waterfall” dome at Gardens by the Bay where you ride up, walk down skywalks through mist and tropical plants, and grab skyline views and dramatic photos without leaving air-conditioned comfort.
