About this experience
Christopher Wren’s Baroque giant with London’s most famous dome. It’s a working church (Sundays = worship only), but on sightseeing days you can roam the floor and crypt, then climb to sky-high galleries for city views.

- All ages welcome; children must climb with an adult. Good fitness needed for dome stairs (no lift to the galleries).
What you'll do
- Walk the nave and crypt, then take on the dome: 257 steps to the Whispering Gallery, 376 to the Stone Gallery, and 528 total to the Golden Gallery at the top.
Before you go
- Hours (typical sightseeing): Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri/Sat 08:30—16:30; Wed 10:00—16:30; last entry ~16:00. Sundays are for services only (occasional limited dome opening—check calendar).
- Dome access: stairs only; last dome entry usually ~16:15.
- Photography: respectful non-flash personal photos allowed during sightseeing hours.
- Bags: no cloakroom; max size 45 × 30 × 25 cm (incl. wheels/handles). Security screening in place.
