About this experience
Castle Hill in Nice, a park-topped promontory between the Old Town and the port, with ruins, a man-made waterfall and big views over the Baie des Anges. There is no castle anymore, but the panoramas are the main draw. Plan 30—60 minutes at least.

- All ages; you can walk up via stairs or use the public lift for an easier ascent.
What you'll do
- Climb from the Old Town or ride the lift from near the seafront, then stroll to the various terraces.
- Take in views of the Promenade des Anglais, Old Nice and the harbour.
- Explore paths, trees and small play areas before heading back down.
Before you go
- Tickets: entry to the hill and park is free.
- Paths or sections may close in bad weather or for maintenance.
Good to know
- Location: above Vieux-Nice and the eastern end of the seafront.
- Sunrise or late afternoon light gives great photos and cooler temperatures.
Why this is worth it
A zero-cost walk with mega views over Nice — use the lift if you hate stairs, but definitely slot it into a Nice day.
