Highlights
Free public beach access and a long paved promenade for walking/cycling; plenty of cafés and shaded stops along the way.
About this experience
East-facing, calm, and easy. Sanur’s reef keeps the water flat, so mornings here are about sunrise strolls, kid-friendly swims, and coffee on the 5—7 km paved beach path linking cafés and little warungs. No entrance fee—just roll up.
What's included
- Free public beach access and a long paved promenade for walking/cycling; plenty of cafés and shaded stops along the way.
Who it's for
- All ages. Ideal for families and first-timers who want calm, shallow, reef-protected water (not surf).
What you'll do
- Catch sunrise on the promenade, swim or paddle when the tide is higher, then café-hop. South toward Mertasari is extra mellow; north toward Padang Galak you’ll see giant kite days in July—Aug.
Before you go
- No beach entry fee; expect small parking charges near public access points (cash). Follow Bali beach flags for safety; seas are usually calm but heed local conditions.
Good to know
- Practical “hours” are 24/7, but sunrise (≈06:00—06:30) is the move. The path commonly referenced as ~5 km+ connects multiple pockets: Karang, Sindhu, Segara, and Matahari Terbit.
Why this is worth it
Free, flat, and sunrise-friendly. Walk, dip at high tide, coffee repeat.
