Jerash Ruins (Gerasa) — Roman City Walk: Hadrian’s Arch, Oval Plaza + Colonnaded Street (Ticketed Entry)

Jerash is one of the best-preserved Roman (and later) cities in the region — a huge open-air archaeological site where you walk through monumental gates, theatres, temples and the famous Oval Plaza + Cardo (colonnaded street). Treat it like a half-day ruins walk with lots of standing and uneven stone paths. Official opening hours vary by season (winter vs summer vs Ramadan).

• Ticketed entry to the Jerash archaeological city/site (officially includes the museum per the national fee table).

• Perfect for: history lovers, photographers, families with older kids, first-time Jordan visitors.
• Not ideal if you can’t walk much (long distances + uneven stones).

• Start at the visitor entry, then follow the main walking route through the ruins (big highlights like Hadrian’s Gate area, plazas, theatres, and the long colonnaded street), stopping at viewpoints and photo spots as you go.
